An Invitation to FUN!
When Whimsy Pop Balloons first reached out about collaborating on this styled shoot, she provided me with a vibrant assortment of balloon colors to serve as the inspiration/ color palette. She wanted to theme to be a summer bash involving water play. I immediately thought of my friend Rebecca with Paperie Off Park. I knew she had already created the perfect invitation for a coloful Summer Bash!
Setting the Table
To begin setting this vibrant summer bash table, I used colorful wrapping paper as a table covering. Next I added a blue checkered dinner plate topped with alternating pink and orange striped plates. I paired a matching blue checkered lunch napkin with a pink and orange color block cocktail napkin to add layers to this look. Don’t be afraid to layer patterns on patterns. Maximalism is in! I needed a durable cup to withstand slushies in 90 degree weather so I opted for a translucent pink plastic cup. Each cup was adorned with a fun beach ball, sunglasses, or Summer Vibes acrylic drink tag! My go to florist, Golden Flora Shop, created the stunning fruit filled floral arrangements. Each place setting also included a delicious cookie from Holly’s Cakes N Bakes that were almost too pretty to eat. It’s the little details that make a big impact!
Bouncing & Sliding Into Our Summer Bash
We love partnering with Sweet Bounce House for all our bounce house and ball pit needs. They brought double the fun to this event with their White House plus their White Water Slide! We found the kids sliding down and climbing right back up on repeat! A funny side note- when we first turned on the water the sprinkler was turned the wrong way and sprayed all of us and my beautiful tablescape too! Thank goodness for quick reflexes and the hot summer sun! I’m not going to lie… a little mist felt nice!
Summer Bash Balloon Art
Our fabulous balloon artist and friend, Sue with Whimsy Pop Balloons initiated this styled shoot. Despite her love of neutrals, she knocked this bright and colorful theme out of the park! We think the bright colors looked especially amazing on the white houses. You could say that the colors really popped! Sue and her dad are also responsible for the beautiful backdrops.
A Magical Mermaid Who Made a Splash
Can you believe that we were special enough for a real mermaid to splash away from the sea to spend the afternoon with us? She was so beautiful and kind! You can speak to her agent, The Raleigh Mermaid, for future availability.
Custom Slushie Stand
This event truly would not have been the same without Brisa & Co. serving up the most delicious slushies for us and our littles. I am pretty sure my son drank six cups! The garnishments took them to the next level. Don’t miss the custom menu and drink stirrers!
Summer Essentials Party Favors
If you know me personally, you know I love a practical (but fun) party favor. No junky favors are found around here! Whimsy Pop Balloons created a beautiful favor wall for our Summer Essentials. Guests found beautiful striped towels (see links for various colors below), Thinkbaby Mineral Sunscreen and shades to ensure they were comfortable at the party even if they forgot an essential! Parker Grove Lane also customized the most amazing magnetic photo frames that said Summer Vibes for us! We captured a few polaroid moments for the perfect take home memory of the party! Paperie Off Park provided favor tags adorned with her fun summer icons to coordinate with our invitation and drink menu. Finally, I had to add a few confetti candies by Bash Boutique Party to add a little sparkle to this fun summer bash!
