When my friend Shakira unveiled her newest Valentine’s Day collection with My Mind’s Eye, I knew I had to reach out to collaborate on a Valentine’s day themed kid party styled shoot. The results? Pure magic! It was such a joy to gather the girls together for a festive party while showcasing this stunning collection. Let me walk you through how this dreamy event came together.
The Perfect Venue
We kicked off the shoot at Curate Studios, an incredible blank space with a bright and airy aesthetic. This venue provided the perfect canvas for all the whimsical and romantic elements we envisioned. Its versatility allowed us to bring every detail of Shakira’s collection to life.
A Playful Addition: Sweet Bounce House
Thanks to Sweet Bounce House, we had the cutest pink bounce house on site! This little gem was an absolute hit and ideal for a little girl’s Valentine’s Day party. What makes it even better? You can customize the ball pit colors to match any theme. Endless options, endless fun!
Whimsy Pop Balloons’ Magic
No party is complete without an incredible balloon display, and Whimsy Pop Balloons did not disappoint. They created a lovely iridescent backdrop adorned with bows and hearts that perfectly complemented Shakira’s heart-shaped plates with iridescent rims. The iridescent hearts on the white backdrop were simply breathtaking and tied everything together seamlessly.
Incorporating Coquette Details
When Shakira and I started brainstorming the design, we both loved the idea of adding coquette-style bows and gems to match the collection. Pearl & Jane delivered the most charming pink bow garland, complete with tiny gems at the center of each bow. We also added bow-shaped straws and balloons to tie the entire look together beautifully.
Personalized Place Cards
Details matter, and our place cards were nothing short of perfection. Chalks Designs by Me created hand-painted tags customized with the girls’ names in our color scheme, while Parker Grove Lane designed adorable acrylic heart tags personalized just for us. Both options come in a variety of colors, adding that extra touch of elegance to the tablescape.
